Born 1860 Poland; d] 9 May 1922, age 58 of 612 S Walnut, this morning at 5:30 a.m. Services held at St Casimir Catholic Church, burial at St Joseph Cem. Husband MARTIN BANICKI SR died 4 Oct 1919. Surviving sons are Ignatius, Martin Jr & John Banicki of South Bend, and Leo in Poland.

South Bend Tribune Obituary May 9, 1922

Mrs. Magdalena Banicki aged 58, 613 S. Walnut Street, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock.
She survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Paczkowski and Katharine Banicki; five sons,
Elmer, William, Edward, Peter, Ignatius. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at
9 o'clock at St. Casimir's church, Rev. Stanislaus Gorka officiating. Burial will be in St.
Joseph cemetery. Martin and Magdeline had 6 other children who died at birth or early infancy-Per family
records of Ernest PaczkowskiMagdelena's birth place is unknown, but she reportedly mentioned that, as a little girl, she
had to get the family water from a river nearby.
