SOUTH BEND - Celia A. Szocinski, 91, of South 32nd Street, died at 6:10 a.m. today in Countryside Place, Mishawaka. Mrs. Szocinski was employed by General Sea Restaurant as a cook for eight years. She was born Jan. 4, 1903, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On June 21, 1921, in South Bend, as Celia A. Banici, she married John Szocinski. He died Sept. 5, 1962. She is survived by two granddaughters, Diana Olivier of South Bend and Marge Balogh of Elkhart; a grandson, Joseph Nyerges of South Bend; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Joseph Nyerges, died March 7, 1993. She was a member of Hoosier Grandmothers of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church and Civic Club and Golden Cluster of St. Hedwig Catholic Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hahn Funeral Home, were a wake will be at 3 p.m.

Surviving grandchildren are Mrs Diana Olivier, Mrs Marge Balough of ELkhart and Joseph Nyerges Jr. On 21 Jun 1921 mar husband 2] JOHN SZOCINSKI who died 5 Sept 1962.
