He was baptized on 23 Oct 1846 in Lekno, Poland, Prussia - Germany. The baptismal record reads, "Born 23 October [1846], baptized 23 October [1846] Andreas, legitimate son of Jacobus Delinski and Francisca Pokorna, both Catholic townsmen. Godparents: Adalbertus Rozwarski and Apolonia Lochowicz."
Andrew DELINSKI and Mary Anne JENDRZEJCZAK were married on 15 Oct 1871 in Lekno, Poland, Prussia - Germany. , , Their marriage record reads, "Hub. Redgoszcz: Andreas Delinski, young man of Ludwikowo to Marianna Je[n]drzejczak, virgin of Huby Redgoszcz. His age 25 years; her age 21 years. Bans proclaimed 18, 19 and 20 of September. Witnesses: Martinus Wojt and Ernesthas Gaether."

THE POLES TO THE FRONT -- TWELVE MORE DECLARE THAT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN BULL-DOZED
Yesterday the Tribune published the following letter, showing how utterly false was the charge of the democrats that they had been bull-dozed into the republican ranks. To this letter yesterday was attached the signatures of 91 Poles. There were 93 but two were duplicated by the compositor in setting them up. We reproduce the letter with the names of 12 more Poles. These are voluntary too. "Fair warning, we mean business."

He was born in Poland, Oct. 23, 1845, and came to South Bend 50 years ago from that country. Surviving are three] daughters, Mrs. Joan Wiertel, of Chicago, and Mrs. Sophie Barczykowski and Mrs. Frances Kaminski, of this city; one son, Valentine Delinski, a sergeant of detectives with the local police department; and one brother, Jacob, of Poland. Twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. The body may be viewed in the home. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Stanislaus' Roman Catholic church, the Rev. Roman Marciniak, C.S.C., the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery." He was buried on 6 Jul 1928 in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. He was a a day laborer and retired moulder who had worked at Oliver's manufacturing plows. He was educated illiterate according to 1920 census. He was Roman Catholic in St. Stanislaus Church, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. There is some confusion with addresses in 1880. The census gives a Dunham St. address, and the City Directory lists Arnold St..
A family story says that he walked to Chicago and back in 1893 looking for work. The U.S. was in a "bank panic" during early 1890's.
