Stanislawa DELINSKI was born on 20 Apr 1885 in Indiana.

She was a cigar maker at Temple and Ellis Co. in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.

The 1905 city directory does not list an occupation for her. She lived at 532 S. Arnold South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana in 1903. This is her father's home.

She lived at 1524 Prairie Ave. South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana in 1905. This was her father's home.

She died on 9 Mar 1919 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. , This death date is given in her burial record. The priest gives her residence as South Bend. Her husband DID take the body back to South Bend for burial and remained there with his family, though the actual death took place in Michigan as noted on the Michigan Death Certificate. She was ill with complications brought on by influenza on 9 Mar 1919 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. Her death was due to mitral valve regurgitation.

She was buried on 13 Mar 1919 in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Her burial record reads, "Died 9 March 1919 Stella Kaminska (Cummins), daughter of Andrea and Marianna Kaminski [sic - should read Delinski], aged 33 years, resident of South Bend, Indiana, buried 13 March 1919 at [St. Joseph Cemetery], South Bend, Indiana." She lived at 1567 Ellery Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan in 1919. She lived here with her husband and immediate family. She was also known as Stella Delinski. She was also known as Stella Cummins. This name is noted by the priest in her burial record. Her husband John had changed his name while living in Detroit to avoid the prejudice against hiring Poles. Aunt Honey noted that Stella's grandmother or great-grandmother on her mother's side was French. [This would be an ancester for Mary Ann Jendrzejczak.]

From Aunt Honey: "Mother wanted water so bad before dying, doctors gave orders not to have. Daddy felt so bad, he gave her some, saying she was dying anyway. Daddy was so thrilled with $1000 insurance, he bought spring overcoat in Detroit and tried to pay $20 coat with $1000 bill! Daddy told me Mother was good sport, went fishing with him."

"Daddy told us about having Mother in baggage coach while he and we 5 children were taking her home to be buried. A young couple was amazed at how well behaved we were. Daddy was tired and 5 of us clinging to his arms and legs, was confused with the double stairway on Walnut St. and instead of turning left and up to bedrooms, he tumbled down the kitchen stairway..no one hurt."
