SOUTH BEND - Felice M. Winkel, 91, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Dunn Road, died Monday in the center. Survivors include a daughter, Alvina Halek of South Bend, and two sons, Donald of York, Pa., and RIchard of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m.

Felice M. Winkel, 91, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Dunn Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 9 a.m. Monday, May 7, in the nursing facility. She was born May 18, 1909, in South Bend, and was the daughter of John and Frances (Wlodarski) Stefanski. On May 1, 1929, in South Bend, as Felice Stefanski, she married Leo J. Winkel, who preceded her in death March 24, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Winkel; a brother, Edward Stefanski; and by two sisters, Chesterine Palkowski and Stella Greenwood. She is survived by a daughter, Alvina (Donald) Helak of South Bend,; two sons, Donald (Erma) Winkel of York, Pa., and Richard (Maryann) Winkel of South Bend; and by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Winkel was a member of the Polish Women's Alliance #305 of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
