SOUTH BEND - Theresa V. Szczypski, 78, passed away on Sunday. She is survived by her children, Susan (Mike) Parsons, David Szczypski (Brenda), Randy Szczypski and Steven Szczypski (Diane); three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Friends and family may gather from 2-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. SOUTH BEND - Theresa V. Szczypski, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Theresa was born on February 9, 1933, in South Bend, to the late John and Mary (Makowski) Leda. On June 21, 1952, she married Ervin "Skip" Szczypski, who passed away on August 31, 2010. She is survived by her four children, Susan (Mike) Parsons of Montgomery, TX, David Szczypski (Brenda) of South Bend, Randy Szczypski of South Bend and Steven Szczypski (Diane) of San Ramos, CA; three grandchildren, Shannon Lee, Tyler and Emily; and by her great-granddaughter, Gracie. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and loving wife. She will be greatly missed. Theresa retired from RACO, Inc. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and cooking for her family and others. Friends and family may gather from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today, April 20th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital, 30 South Meridian St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
