[N320] Walter Nowicki: (South Bend Tribune 8/16/1949)

Walter Nowicki, aged 78, of 822 South Pulaski street, died at 7 a.m. Monday in his residence after an illness of five years. He was born in Poland Dec 29, 1870, and came here 59 years ago. He was a retired Studebaker corporation employee. Surviving are 11 children, Mrs. Blanche Odor, Mrs. James Climek, Mrs. Marie VanderHeyden, Mrs. Sophie Cherpes, Mrs. Josephine Varga, John, Michael, Valentine, Leo, Edmund and Charles; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Michael and Jacob, all of South Bend. Friends may call in the residence after 4 p.m. today and until funeral services at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Casimirs Catholic church, Rev. Casimir Witucki, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. He was a member of St. Casimirs Civics club and the Westside Civic and Democratic club.
