Welcome to the September 2023 program on Lateral Genealogy

On Monday, September 25, 2023, the South Bend Area Genealogical Society hosted a presentation on Lateral Genealogy by Dan Jungclas. It was recorded, but there were issues and we only have the audio portion. We apologize for the inconvenience.

A collateral relative is any blood relative who is not your direct ancestor. Your ancestors are your parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc., and your collateral relatives are cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc. Dan showed us how to use lateral genealogy to produce better results in our family research.
