As well as a genealogy lecturer, Joy is the author of The Family Tree Cemetery Research Field Guide and maintains a long-running blog about cemeteries called A Grave Interest.

Presentation #1: Leave No Stone Unturned

“Tombstone Tourist” Joy Neighbors will share advice for locating and learning from ancestors’
graves. The program will also cover finding cemetery records and sharing your discoveries.

Presentation #2: The Victorian Celebration of Death
Saturday, April 27, 2024 1:00-2:00pm @ Main, Leighton Auditorium
Edwina, an Edwardian librarian, will take the stage to explain the rigid rules and customs of
mourning during the Victorian Age that turned grief into a social status.
