Mishawaka - Marie L. Schelstraete, 68, of 1002 S. Union St., died at 3:25 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs. Schelstraete was a former factory worker for Burcliff Industries. She was born March 30, 1928, in Wakarusa. On Feb. 26, 1949, in Wakarusa, as Marie L. Selner, she married Alphonse R. Schelstraete. He died in 1994. She is survived by four daughters, Pat Scott, Jeannette Snyder, Laura Clayton and Carolyn Carnell, all of Mishawaka; a son, Mark, of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Kendig of Seattle, Mildred Miller of Arkansas, and Dorothy Witmer of Dyer, Ind.; and five brothers, Carl Selner and George Selner, both of Florida, Charles Selner of Chicago, Robert Selner of Indiana, and John Selner of Mexico. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St.

Union St., who died at 3:25 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
