During his years of service Brother Peter had been stationed at Notre Dame, Holy Trinity High School in Chicago, IL where he taught for 30 years and at St Edwards University, Austin Tx. He served as a Holy Cross missionary in Bengal India from 1917 to 1923 and his last assignment was at the Holy Cross seminary at Notre Dame where he served in a clerical position from 1942 to 1949..

Father Joseph Rogusz CSC remembers being told by Brother Peter Claver Hosinski, (1872-1958) that he and other Holy Cross Brother novices hauled stone for the Grotto at Notre Dame .

Among their outstanding graduates, the South Bend Polish parochial schools of South Bend might list Brother Peter Hosinski, C.S.C., organizer and director of the first Polish parochial high school in the United States and founder of the Holy Cross High School at Dacca, India, the native students of which were "the first to pass an English examination";
