SBd Tribune 29 Dec 1932. Age 85 of 501 N Brookfield St, mother of Judge A W Hosinski died at noon today in her home. Ill one month with pneumonia and infirmities of old age. Born in Rekowo Poland 4 Sept 1847, she came to USA 1869 and settled in Bronson Mich. She came to So Bend in 1879. In 1864 in Poland she wed Frank Hosinski who died about 15 years ago. Children: Brother Peter in Austin TX, Leo J in Los Angeles CA, Albin M of So Bend, Rev. Sylvester of Willmington Del; Judge A W Hosinski & Cecelia of So Bend; 2 sisters, mrs Alex Kwieran and Sister Serena of Ft Wayne IN. [ Picture of Rose 30 Dec

"Mrs. Hosinski Dies at Age 85. City Judge's Mother Ill Week with Pneumonia; Funeral Monday. Mrs. Rozalia Hosinski, age 85, of 501 North Brookfield street, mother of City Judge A.W. Hosinski, died at noon today in her home. She had been ill one week with pneumonia and the infirmities of age. Mrs. Hosinski was born in Rekowo, Poland, Sept. 4, 1847, and came to this country in 1869, settling in Bronson, Mich. She came to South Bend in 1870. She was married in 1864 in Poland to Frank Hosinski, who died about 15 years ago. She leaves five sons, Brother Peter, a member of the Congregation of the Holy Cross at Notre Dame, and stationed at Austin, Texas; Leo J. Hosinski, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Albin M. Hosinski of South Bend; the Rev. Sylvester A. Hosinski, of Wilmington, Del., and Judge Hosinski, and one daughter, Mrs. Cecelia Korpal, of this city. She leaves also two sisters, Mrs. Alex Kwieran, South Bend, and Sister Serina, Fort Wayne, Ind. The funeral will take place Monday from St. Stanislaus' Roman Catholic church and burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. The mass probably will be said my Father Hosinski

"Hosinski Rites Set For Monday. Officials and Civic Leaders Among Honorary Pallbearers. Funeral rites for Mrs. Rozalia Hosinski, mother of City Judge A. W. Hosinski, will take place at 10 o'clock Monday morning from St. Stanislaus' Roman Catholic church. Interment will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. Her son, the Rev. Sylvester A. Hosinski, of Wilmington, Del., will sing the mass; the Rev. John Hosinski, of Otis, Ind., a cousin of the deceased, will assist, as will the Rev. Boleslaus Sztuczko, C.S.C., pastor of St. Stanislaus' church. The Rev. Anthony Zubowicz, C.S. C., of Chicago, for many years pastor of St. Hedwige's church here, will deliver the sermon, and the Dujarie Institute choir of Notre Dame will sing the chant. Pallbearers will be A.W. Hosinski, Fred Hosinski, Edward Hosinski, Raobert Hosinski, Stanley Hosinski and Al Korpal. Honorary pallbearers will include Chester R. Montgomery, Rudolph Ackermann, John Henry Zuver, Frank O. Hogan, Fred P. Crowe, Walter I. Fegan, John B. Kuespert, Roy A. Knoblock, George A. Knoblock, John K. Smogor, Dr. B.J. Bolka, M. Edward Doran, Louis Segety, Suncan J. Campbell, Judge J. Elmer Peak, Judge J. Fred Bingham, Judge Dan Pyle, Valentine Gadacz, Bernard J. McCaffery, William Butler, Herschel G. Wray, John S. Buczkowski, Joseph Jaworski, Stephen Grzeskowiak, Waltger McInerny, Joseph Scheininger, John Nelson, Peter Beczkiewicz, Samuel Fiewell, Harry Engel, Frank N. Nevins, Charles Roy, George Hepler, Fred Dreschel, Clarence A. Budd, George Mayr and John M. Raab. Mrs. Hosinski was among the earliest Polish settlers in this community, and her death marked the passing of the last of a group of some 60 original Polish residents here. Among the surviving relatives is an adopted daughter, Mrs. William J. Madison, of this city."
