IRENE VELLUCCI

SOUTH BEND - Irene Vellucci, 84, of South Bend, died at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in South Bend. Irene was born July 29, 1924 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Marcela (Nemeth) Horvath. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Marie Koontz and Ethel Daniels and one brother, Louis Horvath. On February 19, 1944 in South Bend Irene married Albert J. Vellucci. He survives along with their children: Don (Chris) Vellucci of Mishawaka; Jim (Janet) Vellucci of South Bend; Rose (Marcel) Rydzinski of Mishawaka and Frank (Patti) Vellucci of Plymouth; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and two sisters: Patricia Kluszczynski of California and Helen Pecsi of South Bend. Irene's family will receive friends from 3-7 today at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Hahn Funeral Home. The Rev. Marcel Rydzinski, Irene's son-in-law, will officiate and entombment will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Prior to her retirement Irene was employed as a seamstress with the South Bend Toy Company. She loved to fish but her real love and purpose in life was her family. She will be greatly missed but never will she be forgotten. Memorial contributions in memory of Irene may be made to the charity of one's choice.
