David Voorde, son of August & Clementine Voorde, married Anna Hasenbehler, daughter of Fridolin & Brigitta Wittingly Hasenbehler, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, South Bend, IN on May 6, 1902. Children (in birth order): Mary, Joseph F. , Henry J., Aloysius J., Ann Mary, Albert J./Augustine J., and Charles Joseph. David registered in South Bend for the WWII draft. The registration card shows his date of birth as May 18, 1878. His date of birth in the Social Security Death Index is listed as May 13, 1878. His date and place of death are given in his Indiana death certificate for which his daughter, Anna Grieves, was the informant. She reported that he was a widower and had been a salesman for a coal company. It was her understanding that he had been born May 18, 1878 in Belgium.
