Mrs. Hattie G. Nowaczewski, 90, of 1021 Woodbine Way, died at 1:33 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center after a six months' illness. She was a former housekeeper at the University of Notre Dame. She was born on Sept. 20, 1893 in South Bend and lived here all of her life. As Hattie Demski, she married Frank Nowaczewski who died in August 1958. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Ozdyck of South Bend; four sons, Eugene Nova, Alfred Nowaczewski and Ervin Nowaczewski, all of South Bend, and Frank Newman of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph A. Jacobs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
