SOUTH BEND - Eddie Borowiak, 92, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 10:15 a.m. in Hamilton Grove Communities, New Carlisle, IN. Eddie was born on August 18, 1915 in Chicago, IL, to the late Frank and Anna (Plonski) Borowiak. He is also preceded ind eath by his borhter, Richard. On september 28, 1935 he married Lucille V. Gadacz, she survivies, along with their chidlren, Barbara (Mike) Sacchini of South bend and Raymond Borowiak of Hiawassee, GA; four grandchildren, Debbie (Raymond Kane) Courtney, Dan (Dea) Sacchini, Judy Ritschard, and Cindy; seven great-grandchildren, Christian, Alexis, Thomas, John Michael (Joy), Jay, Amy and Desiree; two great-great-grandchildren, John Thomas, Bane and Kylie; and a sister, Helen (Tom) Munn of Miami, FL; and many nieces, nephews and several cousins. Eddie was a emmber of Chain O'Lakes Cosnervation Club. He was active in the AFL-CIO Local 9. He loved fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A remembrance of Eddie's life will begin at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
