SOUTH BEND - Raymond H. Borowiak, 71, of Georgia, formerly of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16 in Georgia. Raymond was born on February 3, 1936, in South Bend to the late Eddie and Lucille (Gadacz) Borowiak. He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie (Ray) Courtney of Lake Clark Shores, FL, Cindy Shaw of North Liberty, IN, and Judy Ritchard of South Bend; five grandchildren, John Michael (Joy) Fowler, Thomas G. Courtney II, Jay Ritchard Jr., Desiree Richard, and Amy Shaw; three great-grandchildren, John Thomas Fowler, Bane Edward Fowler, and Kylie Hatfield; sister, Barbara (Michael) Sacchini of South Bend; sister-in-law, Gloria Hoover of Mishawaka; and four nephews, Daniel (Dea) Sacchini, Patrick (JoAnn) McCullough, Tim (Julie) McCullough and Michael (Julie) McCullough. He was an active member of Polish American Club in Lake Worth, FL, and Hollywood, FL. He was a man who loved his work and enjoyed fishing and traveling with friends and family throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. As per the request of the family, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road is assisting the family.
