NILES -- Kenneth A. Horvath, 58, of 3298 Yankee St., died at 10:41 a.m. Friday (Nov. 16, 2001) in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He had been ill for three weeks.
He was born Feb. 5, 1943, in South Bend, the son of August and Alice (Przybyck) Horvath. On Aug. 14, 1982, he married Marie A. Hurd in South Bend. Mr. Hovath's father and wife survive, along with three daughters, Tara Jones of Granger, Tammy West of Elkhart and Tracy Horvath of South Bend; three grandchildren; a brother, Richard of Mesquite, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Christine) Watkins of Edwardsburg. He was preceded in death by his mother and two stepsons, Vincent and Guy Grover. Mr. Horvath was a retired semi driver for USF Holland Freight of South Bend, and he was a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart. Friends and family may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mayhew Funeral Home in Edwardsburg. The 11 a.m. Tuesday funeral will be at Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend, with the Rev. Don Dilg presiding. Burial will be at Edwardsburg Cemetery.
