Richard “Rick” J. Lubelski, 88, of Mishawaka, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022. Rick was born October 7, 1933 in South Bend. He married the former Barbara R. Czajkowski on April 14, 1958. They lived for a short time in Michigan and California before settling in Mishawaka. Rick was employed for over 20 years at Bendix as a tool designer/engineer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Rick was an active person who enjoyed bowling on leagues, fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, bike riding, playing ping pong, playing cards and going to the casino and garage sales. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and loved talking with others. Rick’s surviving family includes two daughters, Debbi Lubelski and Tara (Matt) Widman, six grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Matt, Tyler, Hailee and Olivia; and six great grandchildren. Rick was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 59 years, Barb; a daughter, Denise McKenzie; a son, Richard Lubelski; an infant daughter, Deanna Lubelski; and two sisters, Kristine and Dolores. Following Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family remembrance will be held in the summer. Memorial donations are suggested to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
