SOUTH BEND - Veronica Blanche Jaworski, 84, of 24-Hour Assisted Living, North Liberty, formerly of 2126 Kenwood Ave., South Bend, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 in 24 Hour Assisted Living, North Liberty. Mrs. Jaworski was born March 20, 1912 in South Bend and remained a lifelong resident.
On May 14, 1929, in South Bend, as Veronica Krupa, she married Jerome Jaworski in South Bend, he passed away in 1970. She is survived by two daughters, Angeline Sobecki, Granger, and Dorothy Durski, South Bend; one son, Jerry Jaworski, South Bend; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah J. Sobecki on Sept. 21, 1993. Mrs. Jaworski was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and its Harvest House and Goodwill Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 26, in St. Stanislaus Church. Rev. Ronald D. Tripi, C.S.C. will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 North Bendix Drive. There will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
