INDEX

[N5637] Source: Chris Kovatch ..... I looked through the Tribune to try to find obit for Joseph Wesolowski who supposedly died Nov 1. He was living on Dunham Street at the time. I didnt find a death notice, but I did find this.

South Bend Tribune, Tuesday 5 Nov 1899:
Officer Strom was called up on Dunham street this morning to take charge of Polish man who had run away from the county house and had threatened the life of some of the family. The officer found him on the Lake Shore track near the Economist Plow works and placed him in jail. It is said the man is not in his right mind. He will again be placed in the county home. Its probably just a coincidence, but maybeThis might explain why theres no church funeral record. It might also indicate that Joseph died sometime after Nov 5. Perhaps the poor man is buried at the county home or ended up in Logansport.
