South Bend Tribune, Sat. Aug. 28, 1915, p. 5:
"John F. Wesolowski, aged 45, died this morning at his home, 303 South Walnut street, after an illness of six months with stomach trouble. He was in business for 28 years on the west side where he conducted a meat market. Surviving him are his wife, Bronislaus; five daughters, Bridget, Hattie, Thelca (sic), Marie and Angeline, and four sons, Edward, John, Frank and Joseph, all of whom are living at home. Surviving him are also his mother, four sisters, and two brothers. One of the brothers lives in Chicago, the remainder of the family lives in South Bend. Mr. Wesolowski was born in Poland and came to this city 32 years ago. He was well known among the Polish people of the west side. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning from St. Hedwige's Roman Catholic church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery."
