ELKHART - Henrietta Bogucki, 93, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008, at 7:20 p.m. in Elkhart General Hospital. Henrietta was born on September 25, 1914, in South Bend, to the late Walenty and Antoinette (Glon) Pietraszewski. In June 1937 she married Stanley Bogucki, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sophie Brzyski; and by two brothers, Henry and Aloysius Pietraszewski. She is survived by her two sons, Raymond (Jane) Bogucki of Rockford, IL, and Thomas (Kathleen) Bogucki of Elkhart, IN; three grandchildren, Charlene (Randy) Ives of South Bend, Fred (Arvilla) Bogucki of Osceola, IN, and Dennis (Cherie) Bogucki of Pierce, AZ; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Esther Jankowski of South Bend; her sister-in-law, Ludvina Pietraszewski of South Bend; and by many nieces and nephews. Henrietta was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Harvest House, Rosary Society, and was a former member of West Side Polish Women Democratic Club. She was a big sports fan, loved the Cubs, Colts, Bears, Sox, Notre Dame, and Ryan Newman. The family would like to thank Riverside Village in Elkhart for all the care they provided for Henrietta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 460 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63141. Visitation will be today, April 21, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. in ST JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
