================
Dolores “Dolly” D. Bowling, 79, of South Bend, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in her home. She was an angel on earth and has gone to join the heavenly angels where she can once again dance with joy. Dolores was born May 7, 1936 in South Bend, a daughter of the late Casimer and Regina (Kujawski) Wisniewski. She grew up in South Bend.
On May 7, 1955 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, Dolores married Edward Bowling. They lived in Mishawaka for a few years before settling in South Bend. Dolores retired from her employment in food service at the North Dining Hall at the University of Notre Dame. She dearly loved Polka music and dancing. Dolores enjoyed cooking and particularly enjoyed the holidays with all the decorating, cooking and having the family together. She loved her dogs and they had a loving bond with her. Most importantly, Dolores’ family was the center of her life. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Ed; a son, Michael Bowling; two daughters, Debbie (Dion) Manee` and Linda (Ed Marang) Hagen; eight grandchildren, Mindy, Leslie, Christopher, Brandon, Adam, Jennica, Wyatt and Lerah; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Rita King. Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Irvin Wisniewski. Friends may spend time with Dolores’ family on Friday, June 5, from 12 noon to 1 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka. A private service for her family will be held later on Friday with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Memorial donations are suggested to Center for Hospice Care or Pet Refuge. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home. Mother’s loving spirit will be in our hearts forever!
