Tillie Pawlak
Mrs. George Pawlak, 68, of 1526 Van Buren St., was dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, where she was taken after suffering a heart attack in her home. She was born on Feb. 17, 1892 in Morris Run, Pa., and came here from there 38 years ago. On Nov. 15, 1913 she was married to George Pawlak, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Genevieve Pawlak and Mrs. Valeria Harlozinski, both of South Bend; two sons, Walter and Florian Pawlak, both of South Bend, nine grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Julia Pawlak, of Williamsport, Pa. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
