Marcella Nowicki 94, passed away on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Memorial Hospital. Marcie was born in South Bend to the late Chester and Monica (Mackowski) Lisiecki. Marcie was preceded in death by her sister Georgian and her son James Sikorski, as well as her husband's Clem Sikorski and Gene Nowicki. Surviving is Marcie's treasured sister Marlene (Edmund) Kaplon. On October 23, 1948 Marcie married Clem Sikorski. They had four children, James Sikorski, Kenneth Sikorski, Frederick Sikorski, and Carol (Joe) Laureys. Marcie was blessed with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcie married Eugene Nowicki in Saint Mary's Polish National Catholic Church on July 8, 1964. Married for 53 years they enjoyed their farm and family. Marcie was a parishioner of St. Mary's Polish National Church. She was an active member of the PNA 3078, Crumstown Conservation Club, Islanders Club, and the American Legion Post 357. Marcie enjoyed cleanings houses for others as well as cooking for large events. She worked at Groceries by Joe leaving her recipes for all to enjoy (grandmas). She was a very giving and caring person, she will be missed by many. Marcie's family would like to extend their appreciation to Father Charles of St. Mary's for his spiritual guidance during our challenging time. A celebration of life for Marcie and Gene will be held at the PNA on Tulip Road New Carlisle on June 11, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. est.

Marcie was an energetic lady with lots of stories that everyone enjoyed hearing. She was a homemaker but really enjoyed others for various celebrations. She loved going to Goodwill and Dairy Queen after a day's work. Cardinals were her favorite birds to watch and collect. She enjoyed all her pets, most recently was P.I.T.A., a black cat that adopted her. She made friends and had friendships that kept her happy and feeling loved and needed.
