NORTH LIBERTY - James "Jim" D. Sikorski, 60, after losing his battle with cancer, passed away in his home on Friday, March 18, 2011, with family at his side. Jim was born in South Bend on December 12, 1950, to Clem and Marcie (Lisiecki) Sikorski. He was preceded in death by his father, Clem Sikorski. He married Linda (Miltenberger) on March 3, 2003, in North Liberty, at the home of his parents, Eugene and Marcie Nowicki, who survive. He is also survived by his wife Linda of eight years; his son, Jason (Amy) Sikorski; daughter, Charlotte Tefteller; stepdaughter, Shawna Janski; four grandchildren, Trevor, Jesse, Jackson and Kelsea; brothers, Ken and Fred Sikorski; sister, Carol (Joe) Laureys; and by his aunt and uncle, Marlene and Edmund Kaplon. Jim graduated from New Prairie High School. He started work at Certified Transmission, and went on to retire from Preston trucking after 26 years, where he was known as "8-Ball." He served on the Farm Bureau Inc. Board. He enjoyed his tractors, farming, golden oldies, and old-time country music. He was a good, honest, hardworking person who will not only be missed by his loving family, but by many friends and co-workers. He reminds you to mind your p's and q's, and he will see you soon. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the Hospice of Marshall County, 112 S. Center St., Suite C, Plymouth, IN 46563. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net. If you believe in God you'll have no fear, No fear to go when your time is here. You'll embrace the comfort and the Love, To know you have a place with God. JIM DID....... He may only be the doorman to greet you in, Or the electrician to keep the stars lit. But whatever his job or place will be, His soul will be happy for eternity.....
