Obituary from p. 30 of the 19 NOV 1976 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:

.Julius John Jurek, 66, of 1811 Sibley, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in his home after an extended illness. Jurek retired in 1973 from the Steel Warehouse, after working there 10 years as a steel inspector, and before that he was a steel inspector for Studebaker Corp., having worked there 36 years. Born on May 22, 1910, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. On Sept. 5, 1932, he married Mary Debniak, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Dunlap of Granada Hills, Calif., Mrs. Julie Ann Cernick of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Corinne Moore of South Bend; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Janik, Mrs. Dorothy Zelinski, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Joseph Skora of Chicago.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Casimir Grabarz, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday by members of the St. Peter and Paul Society. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home by members of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Harvest House of the church.
