Rosemary Jurek Dunlap

Rosemary Dunlap, age 89, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday morning in her home. Rosemary worked for many years as a secretary in the religious community; St. Euphrasia Catholic Church and Our Lady of Angels Minor Seminary in CA and Christ the King in South Bend. Rosemary was born December 12, 1932 in South Bend to the late Julius J. and Mary Josephine (Debniak) Jurek. On January 30, 1954, Rosemary married Larry Dunlap. They traveled, through his work, to Lima, OH and Indianapolis and to California in 1956 until moving back to this area in 1992. Larry preceded in death. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Greg) Supan of McKensie Bridge, OR, daughter-in law, Linda R. Dunlap of Mishawaka, stepson, Dwight (Joyce) Dunlap of Uxbrudge, MA, four grandchildren, Jason (Krista) Dunlap of Brentwood, CA, Michelle Gailey of Ventura, CA, . Joshua Dunlap of Austin, TX and Lindsey (Dustin) Beckham of South Bend. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Lily Rose, Ethan, Penelope, Luna, Aiden and Brooklyn and two sisters, Julie (David) Bullard and Corrine (Philip) Moore both of Granger. A son, Gregg A. Dunlap, preceded in death on January 3, 2009. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 N Fir Rd, Granger, IN 46530. Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to mass. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Rosemary graduated from St. Stanislaus School and St. Mary’s Academy in South Bend. She was active in the ministries at St. Pius and a member of the Polonaise and Golden Cluster Clubs. She enjoyed traveling over all parts of the world. She loved painting and leaves behind several art pieces to be shared by the family. She was also an avid Notre Dame fan. A special thanks goes out to the nurses and attendants at the Center for Hospice as well as her friends, Dollie, Diane, and Connie, who helped care for her in her final days.
