Obituary from p. 34 of the 19 FEB 1980 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:

.Mrs. Mary J. Jurek, 65, of 1811 Sibley, died at 4:15 a.m. today in Healthwin Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 16, 1914, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life. On Sept. 5, 1932, in South Bend, as Mary J. Debniak, she married Julius Jurek, who died on Nov. 18, 1976. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Dunlap of Granada Hills, Calif., Mrs. Julie Ann Bullard of Northridge, Calif., and Mrs. Corrine Moore of South Bend; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. Rita Woznicki of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Casimir Grabarz, C.S.C., pas tor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. She was a member of the St. Adalbert's Harvest House, which will recite the rosary at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. She was also a member of the Apostleship of Prayer, the Goodwill Club, the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, the Parish Council and the Harvest House, all at St. Stanislaus Parish. She was also a member of the Forever Learning Institute. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
