David A. Andert of South Bend passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center at the age of 63. He was born on May 21, 1958, in South Bend to the late Joseph H. and Cyrilla (Martin) Andert. On May 9th, 1992, in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Kathlyn S. Linker, and they celebrated 29 years together this past May. David was a graduate of Edwardsburg High School and owned his own custom framing business for more than 20 years. In addition, David enjoyed singing Barbershop for over two decades, watching old comedies, and volunteering at Grace United Methodist Church. David is survived by his loving wife, Kathy. He also leaves behind his sister, Jane (Terry) Clarke of St. Johns, MI., brothers, Tom (Sandy) Andert of Stevensville, MI., and Brian (Daphne) Andert of Kokomo, IN., along with his three nieces, Elizabeth (Patrick), Christine (Dan), Katie (Ben), and nephew, William (Carmen). Services for David will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Palmer Funeral Homes, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN., 46614. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial with graveside services will take place at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
