Vincent Michael Suppinger, 72, of Lafayette, IN, passed away at Creasy Springs Health Campus at 1:15 PM on Monday, August 30, 2021, where he had been a patient since October 2020. He was born in South Bend, IN on August 11, 1949, the son of Albert Suppinger and Dorothy (Horwarth) Suppinger. Vincent was a graduate of Washington High School in South Bend, IN and received his Bachelors Degree from Purdue University in 1971 and his Masters, also from Purdue, in 1976. He married Suzanne Hess at Lanesville, IN on October 23, 1971 and she survives. Vincent was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and professionally was a teacher and coach for the Tippecanoe County School Corporation from 1972 until 2013. He taught different science classes, was head wrestling coach for over 25 years and was an assistant football coach, all at McCutcheon High School. Surviving are his wife; father; two daughters; one son; three brothers; two sisters; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette with Fr. Andrew Dudzinski officiating. Private family interment will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date.
