Dorothy Suppinger July 2, 1925 - Oct. 7, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Dorothy Suppinger, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's. Dorothy was born July 2, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Elizabeth and Christian Horwarth. On January 25, 1947, Dorothy married Albert Suppinger at St. Mary's Church, South Bend. He survives along with their children, Albert V. (Pat) Suppinger, Vincent (Sue) Suppinger, Paul (Barb) Suppinger, Annemarie (John) Pillman, Margaret (Greg) Meert, Michael Suppinger; eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Herman Hor-warth; and sisters, Theresa Golubski and Betty Chrzan. Dorothy was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a very artistic person; she colorized portraits, cross-stitched, sewed, and loved reading. She enjoyed ballroom & square dancing with her husband. Most of all she treasured spending time with family. Visitation for Dorothy will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm today, October 10, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, October 11, 2014, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
