Edgar J. "Hank" Strope, 82, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka. Hank was born on February 3, 1931 in Mishawaka, IN., to the late Albert and Matie (Losee) Strope. Hank was married to Shirley Coryell on June 30, 1951, in Mishawaka, IN. She survives along with their children, Stephen (Brenda) Strope and Peggy (Mike) Barhydt all of Mishawaka, four grandchildren, Jessica, Victoria, Joe and Tracee, five great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Rader of Osceola, IN. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mitchell Strope, a sister Velda Perkey and two brothers, Richard Strope and Albert Strope. Hank was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed gardening, fishing, trapping, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services for Hank will be on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where there will also be visitation on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Pastor Milt Gould will officiate the funeral services with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
