Peggy S. Barhydt, 63, of Mishawaka, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 with her daughter, cousin and niece by her side at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka. Peggy was born to Shirley (Coryell) Strope and Edgar (Hank) Strope on February 3, 1958. She shared this birthday with her father to his great joy. Peggy worked at Complexus Medical for 13 Years and Burcliff Industries for over 20 years. She graduated from Penn High School and Ivy Tech Community College. Peggy enjoyed going out to lunch with friends, going to concerts, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and going to the gym. She was an active member of Willow Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar (Hank) Strope; brother, Mitchell C. Strope; grandparents, Hanley and Hazel (Ecker) Coryell, Albert and Mattie (Losee) Strope; and her ex-husband, Dale Skowronski. Peggy is survived by her mother, Shirley Strope; daughter, Victoria Barhydt; brother, Stephen Strope; sister-in-law, Brenda Strope; niece, Jessica Strope; a special cousin, Paula Perky-Danley; ex-husband, Michael Barhydt; and her beloved extended family. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola, IN 46561. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. The Barhydt family requests that everyone has a face mask on before entering the funeral home.
Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
