Mrs. Rose Halassy
June 26, 1885 - September 29, 1976

Mrs. Rose Halassy, 90, of 1339 Brentwood, died at 4pm Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after a one week illness. Born on June 26, 1885, in Azzonyfa, Vas Megye, Hungary, she lived here since coming from Hungary in 1908. In May 1903, in Hungary, she married Louis Halassy, who died in 1940. Surviving are one son, Louise of New Carlisle; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Chiszar an Betty Halassy, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Rose Horvath of New Carlisle; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11am Saturday in Memorial Presbyterian Church. Rev. Gaither Bailey, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, where prayer services will be at 7:30pm Friday. Mrs. Halassy was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and the William Penn Society.
