MISHAWAKA - Mary M. Hutsebout, 96, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Mishawaka. Mary was born on November 13, 1919 in Mishawaka as the daughter of Gaston and Christina (De Smet) Maes. On July 4, 1941 in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as Mary Maes she married Arthur Hutsebout. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2005. Mary was also preceded in death by her only son, Steve A. Hutsebout on May 1, 2015 and one sister, Celina De Coker. Mary was a lifelong Mishawaka resident and was employed by Mishawaka Utilities Company for fourteen years before she went to work in the Mayor's Office in Mishawaka. She was an active member of St. Bavo Church and was a member of the church's former altar society. Mary's love of her family and friends and strong faith has been a great inspiration to her grandson. Mary is survived by her grandson, Brian Hutsebout of Portland, OR and her daughter-in-law, Beverly Hutsebout of Stockbridge, GA, along with many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 20 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka where a Wake Prayer Service will take place at 4:30 in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 21 at 10:00 am, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka with Rev. Vincent Joseph officiating. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
