Nicholas Cukrowicz, 81, of 3114 Rue Marceau, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. He retired from the Studebaker Corp, where he was employed as a sprayer. He was born on May 22, 1901, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident. In 1922 he married Mary Ann Paprocki. She died in 1956 and then on July 13, 1963, in South Bend, he married Blanche Parker. She survives with four sons, Ervin, Raymond, Robert and Arthur Cukrowicz, all of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kay Dennert of Osceola; a stepson, Robert Parker of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Stanley and Harry Cukrowicz, both of South Bend. Services will be conducted at 10am Tuesday in St Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Yast, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call form 2 to 9pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited at 7pm. He was a member of the church.
