In 1860, in Poland, Josepha Bartoszek, 21, married Adalbert Krzeszewski in the Catholic parish Wyrzysk. (Poznan Marriage Indexing project)
According to the 1900 and 1910 census records of South Bend, Indiana, Josephine Krzeszewski, a widow, born in Germany circa 1840, had immigrated in 1885, and had had nine children, four living. She was living with her son-in-law, John Grams, a widower, and his children. (Other county and local church records show that in 1886, John Grams had married Marcyanna , daughter of Albert Krzeszewski; and that she had died in 1894.) Josephine Krzeszewski 75, died April 13, 1915, in South Bend, Indiana, and was interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery. (Indiana death certificate; also, St. Hedwig Catholic Church records of burials to Cedar Grove Cemetery)
