SOUTH BEND - Dorothy (Deka) Skorupski, 89, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Tuesday, June 8, in Sebring, FL. She was born February 5, 1921, to Anthony and Bertha (Kreczmer) Deka in South Bend, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1988, coming from Tampa, FL. She was a nurse's aide, was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and served on the decorating committee at The Crystal Lake Club. She also enjoyed playing golf, making crafts, and traveling. A loving wife, mother, aunty, grandma and GG, she loved her family and especially enjoyed the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Skorupski; children, David J. (Connie) Skorupski, Lewisville, TX and Janet M. (Bill) Leach, Crystal Lake, IL; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 18, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, with Father Nicholas McLoughlin officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4418 Sun 'N Lake Boulevard, Sebring, Fl 33872.
