Ostror©dg (German Scharfenort) - town in the province. Greater in Szamotuly County , located on the Great Lake , the seat of the urban-rural Ostror©dg . During the years 1975-1998 the town belonged to the province. Poznan . As of December 31, 2010 the city had a population of 1962 inhabitants . Commercial and service center of an agricultural region. The town is located closed railway line Szamotuly - Mie;dzych©dd and provincial road No. 184 to Szamotuly.
As of January 1, 2010 area of the town was 1.25 km ø [2] .

The first mention of the village dates back to 1383 , the document is about the village and the Zamczysko ostrorogskiej local squires.
