South Bend - Marvin J. Ciesiolka, 86, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Memorial Hospital. Marvin was born July 25, 1934 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Eleanor (Wasowski) Ciesiolka. Marvin married the love of his life Jeannette E. Ciesiolka on July 27, 1957, she preceded him in death on May 26, 2021. Marvin was also preceded in death by a son, David Charles Ciesiolka, sister, Rita Ciesiolka, sister-in-law, Jackie Budzinski, and brother-in-law, Eugene Staszewski. Left to cherish the memory of Marvin is his brother Norbert (Sue Ann) Ciesiolka, sister Virginia Young, sister in-law Carol Staszewski, brother in-laws Eugene Budzinski Sr., Ed (Joan) Budzinski, and Ronald Budzinski and also many cherished nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Jan (Jennifer) Rhodes. Marvin honorably served his country in the United States Army serving in Germany where he received a good conduct medal for Sharpshooting. He also served alongside Elvis Presley. In 1967 he started working at Bendix and retired in 1994. He was a race car fan, an avid golfer, and a Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed dancing a Polka and listening to country music. Most of all he cherished his family and friends. Visitation for Marvin will be Thursday July 15, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00pm. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
