Joseph L. Ciesiolka, 88, formerly of Tulip Road, New Carlisle, Ind., died at 1:50 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. He was born on March 14, 1911, in Terre Coupee, Ind., and lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Ciesiolka was a retired farmer. On Oct. 28, 1933, in South Bend, Ind., he married Eleanor Wasowski, who preceded him in death on June 26, 1989. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Ciesiolka; a grandson, Kevin Zeiler; and by four brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Virginia (Dennis) Young of South Bend; two sons, Marvin (Jeanette) Ciesiolka of South Bend and Norbert (Sue Ann) Ciesiolka of New Carlisle; four grandchildren, David Ciesiolka of South Bend, Cindy Sue Ciesiolka of New Carlisle, Kathy M. Zeiler of California and Karen (Mike) Demske of Osceola, Ind.; two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Jordan Demske, both of Osceola; and by a sister, Josephine Swiatowy of New Carlisle. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, in the funeral home. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
