Rosella Almeda (Whalen) Weimer was born in Watervliet, Michigan, on January 13, 1890. She moved from Chicago, Illinois , to Mishawaka, Indiana, in 1917 where she met and married George Menzo Weimer. This union produced three sons, Elwin, Orrin and Lester, and two daughters, Mrs. Ellsworth Wilson and Mrs. Dorothy (Tabor) Clemens. Following an illness of three weeks, Rosella died at the age of 59 in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, on April 28, 1949. The Very Rev. Erland L. Groton, dean of St. Paul's Episcopal pro-cathedral in Mishawaka officiated the services. Burial took place in Hartford Pioneer Cemetery, Hartford, Michigan.
