=================

George Menzo Weimer was born in Hartford, Michigan, on January 19, 1884. As a young man he was a copy boy for the Hartford Day Spring newspaper. In 1910 he married the former Teresa Mills in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They had one son, George P. Weimer, before Teresa died of tuberculosis in 1915. In 1917 George married the former Rosella Almeda Whalen in Mishawaka, Indiana. This union produced three sons, Elwin, Orrin and Lester, and two daughtes, Mrs. Ellsworth Wilson and Mrs. Dorothy (Tabor) Clemens.
George was an electrician for the Ball-Band Company, later re-named Uniroyal, in Mishawaka. He and his family lived in town for many years but later in life moved to live on a small nine acre farm on Dragoon Trail, south of Mishawaka. On June 25, 1964, after an illness of seven months, George passed away at the age of 80 in the home of his step-son, George P. Weimer, on Jefferson Highway in Mishawaka. He had lived in Mishawaka for fifty years. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mishawaka with the Rev. W. R. Dexter officiating. Burial was in Hartford Pioneer Cemetery, Hartford, Michigan.
