SOUTH BEND - Carl E. Lipinski, age 79, a longtime resident of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2014. He was born July 3, 1935, in South Bend, IN. Carl retired to Bradenton, Florida (Gold Tree), where he had lived for the past 12 years. Carl is survived by his children, Robert (Karen) Lipinski, Richard (Candace) Lipinski, Rebecca (Joe) Kolo, Rachele (David) Arnold, Ron (Jeannine) Lipinski; as well as his sister, Wanda (Edward) Olszewski, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Lipinski. Carl enjoyed golfing and fishing and coached elementary baseball, basketball and softball. Overman-Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Plainfield, Illinois is entrusted with arrangements. No visitation or formal funeral service is being planned.
