Michael L. Mezykowski, 70, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 8th, 1951 to Casimir and Edna Mezykowski, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Mezykowski who he married on July 30, 1994. Along with two children, Christopher (Brian) Mezykowski and Carolyn Mezykowski, two stepsons: Robert (Cynthia) Wojtkowski and Sean (Stephanie) Wojtkowski along with a stepdaughter, Nicole (Shreve) Jakey and his sister, Ann Marie (William) Duncan. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Michael was a Maintenance Manager for Mishawaka Utilities until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed traveling with his wife, attending live theater shows, spending time with family and countless friends. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Young Men’s Society and Bowlers Country Club. Friends will be received from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 South Mayflower Road, South Bend, Indiana on Sunday, August 22nd. A Rosary will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 23rd. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery following the funeral services. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Michael’s memory to Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, Indiana.
