Henry I Grenert, aged 65, of 535 ½ South Michigan street, died at 9:40 a.m. today in Memorial hospital after a week's illness. He was born in Marshall county, Indiana July 5, 1881, and lived most of his life here. He was married in 1920 to Melvina Williams. She Survives. He also leaves two daughters, Miss Nellie Isabelle at home, and Mrs. Norma Jean King of New Carlisle, this county and three sons, Leslie, DeForest and Bobbie, South Bend. Friends may call at the Hay funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday and until the funeral there at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Roscoe F. Wilson, D.D. of Central Evangelical United Brethren church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn cemetery.The South Bend Tribune, June 3, 1947.
