SOUTH BEND - Dorothy V. Sochocki, 85, passed away at 4 a.m. on Thursday, November 22, in her residence. Dorothy was born in South Bend, on February 23, 1922, to the late Matthew and Verna (Podemski) Kosinski. On July 5, 1947, in South Bend, she married Casimier V. Sochocki, who survives. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents and brother, Eugene Kosinski. She is survived by husband, Casimier; daughter, Carole (Jerry) Pethick of Thornton, CO; son, Curt (Cynthia) Sochocki of New Carlisle; grandchildren, Tracy (Jeff) White of Granger; and great-grandchildren, Adrian and Alyssa. Dorothy was a homemaker and lived all her life in the South Bend area. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She and Cas loved traveling together and going to Air Force reunions. Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed taking care of her family. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower road. A Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
