Emanuel Joseph Pendl was born Oct 4, 1865(1864)in Buffalo, New York. The son of Joanne Gregory Pendl(born in Switzerland in 1820)and Mary E Gerold (born in Germany). Emanuel moved to South Bend, IN when he was 3 years old from St. Louis, Missouri. His wife Juliana Sopczynska was born in Germany April 12, 1869. There were five children born to this Union: Mary, Veronica, Francis, Anna, and Joseph. Emanuel was an inspector at the plow factory.
